Call University Police at Ext. 2111; give your name, location and telephone number. Inform them of the situation, and remain where you are until contacted by an officer.
If safe to do so, take time to get a good description of the criminal. Note height, weight, sex, color, approximate age, clothing, method and direction of travel.
If criminal is entering a vehicle, note license plate number, make, model, and color of car, note any other distinguishing characteristics, and direction of flight.
Do not attempt to apprehend or interfere with the criminal except in cases of self-protection.
In the event of a civil disturbance, remain calm and try to continue your normal routine. If the disturbance is outside stay away from doors and windows. Do not attempt to interfere with those persons creating the disturbance.
