Step 2a: Submit Official Transcripts

Official transcripts are required to validate your eligibility for admission and to provide credit for transferable courses (transfer students).
Review your to-do list on myCSUB on what to submit. You may be required to send in official in-progress (if not already done so) and official final transcripts from institutions previously attended or are currently attending.

Transcripts may be:

  • Submitted electronically from the sending institution to the email incomingtranscripts@csub.edu;
  • Delivered in a sealed envelope to the Admissions and Records Office; or
  • Mailed to:

For transfers: General Education (GE) and 60+ units must be completed by Spring 2018. Final transcripts are due July 15, 2018, with all grades posted to clear admission for the Fall 2018 semester. Note: If, after validation and verification you do not meet eligibility, your offer of admission may be revoked and courses enrolled for the Fall 2018 term canceled.

Step 2b: Submit Verification of Intent of AA-T/AS-T Degree

Important: This applies to transfer students only.

Transfer Degree In-Progress: If you are pursuing the Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT), verification must be provided from your community college confirming your ADT degree is in-progress. The preferred method of verification is electronic confirmation via eVerify.

  • eVerify: If you self-reported an ADT on your application, your community college may electronically confirm your "in-progress" degree status to CSU Bakersfield via the Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT) eVerify website. Please consult with your community college campus regarding the submission of all required documents by the published deadline.
  • Verification Form: If your community college campus is unable to electronically confirm your "in-progress" degree status via eVerify, you may submit a copy of the SB 1440 "Verification of Intent to Earn an Associate Degree for Transfer" form to the Admissions & Records office. This form must be completed and signed by an appropriate campus official at your community college. The completed verification form may be submitted via one of the following methods:
  • Email
    VBethea@csub.edu
    Subject Line: ADT
Please attach the form as a PDF with all the appropriate signatures included
  • By Mail
    California State University, Bakersfield
Office of Admissions and Records, 47SA
    9001 Stockdale Highway
    Bakersfield, CA  93311-1022
  • Drop Off
    California State University, Bakersfield
    Admissions & Records Office

We need verification of your degree in-progress or completed by the following dates:
Fall Admissions: March 15th
Spring Admissions: November 15th

Transfer Degree Completed: If you have already earned your degree, please submit an official transcript with the statement of the degree posted to the Admissions & Records office.

We need verification of your degree awarded by the following dates:
Fall Admissions: September 4th
Spring Admissions: February 1st

Note: For many California community colleges, graduation is not automatic upon the completion of all degree requirements. It is often the student's responsibility to submit a graduation application during published time periods. To avoid delays in the evaluation, degree verification and granting of your AA-T or AS-T degree, be sure to contact your community college for information on how and when to submit your graduation application.
