Traditional BSN Program

The BSN is a 3-year BSN pre-licensure program. Prospective applicants must meet the minimum admission requirements and have not violated any eligibility department policies. Program applications are accepted once each year for fall entry. This program is impacted and does not maintain a waitlist.

RN-BSN Program (Associate Degree in Nursing Required)

The RN to BSN Program at CSU Bakersfield is a post-licensure program designed for students interested in obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) after the completion of an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN). Those interested in applying to the RN to BSN program must hold an active California RN license, or be in the final semester of an ADN program, and must meet all other eligibility requirements. Program applications are accepted year-round for fall entry. Students admitted to the fall RN-BSN Program may complete the program in fifteen months. This program is impacted and does not maintain a waitlist.

MSN-FNP Program (BSN Required)

The MSN Family Nurse Practitioner Program is a two-year, full-time program designed for students with a BS in Nursing (BSN) and at least 2 years of full-time nursing experience. Program applications are accepted every other year.
