1. When the PC in our class is powered on and before it boots in to windows, a screen comes up that will allow you to chose which operating system you want to load. All you have to do is select the first choice: "Windows XP professional". The second is "Windows XP professional with Office 2003". Thus, if you do not see Office 2007, you need to turn off the PC and then, restart it.

  2. Microsoft Office is the ONLY official software for our university ("Microsoft Works" Not allowed). That is, whatever you are required to submit (i.e., assignment, project), you MUST use Microsoft Office.

  3. All assignments and the midterm exam must be submitted through the Blackboard Submission Link. When you submit an assignment (or an exam), you MUST CLOSE the Microsoft office application (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access) COMPLETELY before you submit your ASSIGNMENT (OR EXAM) FILE. Otherwise, you will receive ZERO POINT because ONLY title of your file will be processed and accepted without including actual contents of your assignment (or exam). And if an assignment requires submit several files, you must submit all files together at once. That is, you must "UPLOAD" all the assignment files together at once.

  4. Our course official email is the Blackboard email. If you email me not by the Blackboard email, I will not reply.

  5. 1/14: It turns out that the book store somehow screwed up with my textbook order.

  6. 1/14: The following web link is for Amazon student prime account; http://www.amazon.com/gp/student/signup/info?ie=UTF8&refcust=L3JZ7VCKNRAUP77JLDEXU35CE4&ref_type=generic. If the account is still available, you will be able to save more money when you order textbook (i.e., shipping charge). Your classmate "Rosey Amaral" informed me about the account.

  7. 1/22: Since some of your classmates are still waiting for the textbook, I'd like to postpone the due date for the quiz 2. The new due date is Wednesday, Jan 30th. Thanks.

  8. 1/30: Job announcement from Chevron - We have a Decision Analyst employment position at Chevron (in Bakersfield) posted externally through February 13, 2013.  Please have interested candidates visit Chevron on-line to apply.  If you have any questions, please call James Mooney at 1 925-842-2566.

  9. 3/2: I'd like change the E-Commerce project presentation on Thursday, March 14 as a web presentation. That is, there is no in-class presentation. As soon as you turn in your EC project PowerPoint slide by the due date, I will post all your presentation slide on the class website as a web presentation. Please let me know if you have a question. Thanks.
