Assignment 1 (Due April 27)

Assignment 2 (Due May 4)

Assignment 3: Presentation by Dr. Hegde of the Economics Department on May 11. The two-page summary-critique is due on May 18.

Assignment 4 (Due May 20)

I received the invitation below a few days ago. I encourage you to go to this event, as it might be quite interesting and quite relevant to the class. As I mentioned in class, if you attend and write a two-page report, you can substitute this for any one of the assignments you have missed or may miss later on.

On behalf of the California Air Resources Board and California Fuel Cell Partnership, I invite you to a fuel cell vehicles ride and drive at Westchester Plaza (1800 30th Street) on Wednesday, May 27 at 3:00pm. You’ll have an opportunity to test drive (or ride) 12 hydrogen-powered fuel cell vehicles from seven leading automakers, see how to fill the vehicles from a mobile refueler, and talk to the engineers who work on the vehicles every day.

Clean air, sustainable energy and reduced carbon footprint are important to all Californians. Fuel cell vehicles have the potential to achieve zero tailpipe emissions and dramatically reduce greenhouse gas emissions, while providing the range, high efficiency, rapid refueling and performance consumers expect. Fuel cell vehicles are one of the technologies that will be a market winner. I hope you, your faculty and students can join us for this event.

Sincerely,

Chris White

Communications Director
