Math 340. Probability Theory.  (5 units)  Sample spaces and events; counting problems, permutations and combinations; conditional probability; independence; Bayes theorem; discrete and continuous random variables; bivariate, multivariate, marginal, and conditional distributions; functions of random variables; expected value, moments, variance, covariance, and correlation; distribution theory; central limit theorem.

Prerequisites:  MATH 203.   Prerequisite or co-requisite: MATH 300 or CMPS 295.
