Course Grading Criteria

The grade for this course is based predominantly upon the writing required for the class.

The  rough drafts, final drafts, résumé assignment, and final essay exam comprise the required writing assignments for the quarter.

The points awarded for each assignment and the total distribution of points for the quarter are outlined below:

 

Weekly Participation on Blog 200 points
Essay rough drafts  3 @  50 points each 150 points 
Essay final drafts 3 @ 100 points each 300 points
Résumé and Cover Letter Final draft only 150 points
Final essay exam Final draft only 200 points
Total Points for the Quarter 1000 points

 

A -- 900 to 1000 points

B -- 800 to 899 points

C -- 700 to 799 points

D -- 600 to 699 points

F -- 599 and below

 

Nota bene:  Late work will receive only partial credit.
