CLO 1:Distinguish the different genres of folk literature from one another

CLO 2:Evaluate the historical evidence for a select legend

CLO 3:Explain how folk literature differs from literature

CLO 4:Analyze folk tales according to the cultural functions of folk literature

CLO 5:Identify folklorists and authors of literary fairy tales and their works.

CLO 6: Compare the motifs found in folk tales with those in literary fairy tales and films

CLO 7:Create an original urban legend that incorporates the typical features of the genre

Each of the student learning outcomes listed above is associated with its appropriate module in the course. Students fulfill the student learning objectives by completing the learning activities for each module. Students will then demonstrate their level of knowledge of the learning objectives by taking the quiz for the module and writing a blog entry.
