1974-1984. Chair, Computer Center Advisory Committee. This task has varied in amount of responsibility but has included developing long- range plans for Computer Center development. Major author of "E.D.P. MasterPlan" in 1977-1978, as well as planning development, directions and purchases with Director, and committee decisions on day-to-day operations policy.
1978. Chair S.S.R.I.C. (Social Science Research and Instructional Council). This is a state-wide C.S.U. The group also serves to encourage faculty and students to perform empirical social science research.
1978-1979. Administered the Social Science Laboratory at C.S.U.B., including purchasing hardware, offering workshops and supervising student assistants.

In 1997 -2004 these were done for the CSUB TLC and were directed to web page and web tool creation for instructional home pages and the use of a wireless lab in classroom teaching. "Crime and The Quality of Life" (A teaching module under revision to census and crime data about California Counties for 1980, 1985, and 1990). The data has been obtained and data entry will be completed spring quarter with the module to be completed summer of 1998. This module data and exercises will be included on the "SSRIC: Teaching Resources Depository" web page at HTTP://www.csubak.edu/ssric.
"Opinions and Behavioral Characteristics of College Students" (A teaching module under revision to include a current survey of C.S.U. students). The data has been collected from more then 2000 plus respondents of 5 CSU Universities (SF State, SLO, FSU, SDSU, and Humbolt). This module data and exercises will be included on the "SSRIC: Teaching Resources Depository" web page at HTTP://www.csubak.edu/ssric.
Creation of a workbook and tutorials to teach general computer applications in the social sciences. This will include mapping, charting, statistical analysis and computer applications in general with specific focus on Social Science Research and teaching applications using large databases.
Humor and Education, uses of humor as a teaching tool
The relationship between creative use of new technology (specifically computers) and structural correlates
The effect of computer technology on social structures social relations and individual perspectives
Sociology of Religion topics including racism, sexism, social class and religion, empirical patterns and changes in survey findings about religion in the US. 1960-1990
Research on various Collective Behavior topics including (1) an examination of the relation between Knowledge, Perceptions and Preparedness for Earthquakes in California. I hope to have items included on a future Field poll, (2) family stress as related to speed of onset, frequency and severity of collective disturbance, (3) significant differences between rapid unexpected social change and expected but undesirable social trends (e.g. natural disaster such as an earthquake versus the "greenhouse effect")
