We would very much appreciate your additions of favorite web pages for parents, teachers and kids not listed here. The web is huge and a refereed set of relevant sites shortens the time to find useful data.   Find your favorite, copy the URL (the address of the site--it will look something like http://www.csubak.edu/ssric ) then come back to this location and click here:
Sorry, I haven't checked these links in quite a while so there are links to non existing locations.  There are, however, a lot of neat sites in the list so its worth the effort.

    Links to Freeware, Shareware sources:

Many programs from games to standard applications and utilities are available to download from internet sites. Following are some of the better known sources for these programs as reviewed in a June 8, 1997 article A Guide To Finding The Best Software On-Line by Ernie Slone in the San Francisco Chronicle .

Before starting: As always with downloads be weary of viruses and aware that bugs may exist in some of the programs but also remember that most computer programs and many commercial programs especially in the early years were shared by users. You can find free stuff as good as, and occasionally better then,  purchased applications.
    1. check out: ZDNet site http://hotfiles.com and read the Easy Download Guide to learn the essentials of fetching files.
    2. install a good anti virus program to check all your downloads
