Computers for Kids
 The following will be based on these resources: National Educational Standards for Students, BCSD incorporation of technology standards (unpublished draft version) in their preK-8 program, Monica West [site tech at Emerson Middle School], Salon Voices and Operation Hope.

Our Goal:
To develop and enhance basic computer knowledge and skills working on academic, personal and future career tasks with current computer technology:
  1. Computer Operations
      Connecting a system, on/off, emergency shutdown
  2. Windows operations
  3. Word
  4. PowerPoint
  5. Excel
  6. Email operations
  7. Information competence: defining a problem, web and data base searching, evaluating  credibility and using information (Sandra Bozarth CSUB Liberian)
Enhancement/demonstration:
  1. Creating a web page
  2. Creating and editing a movie
  3. Music editing
  4. VOIP and Video communication
  5. Digital Pictures
