"Everything you wanted to know about cookies but were afraid to ask." I recieved the following message from my friend Laurie:

I surfed the Net and found a web page to help me find those little cookie files. (On PCs, in "Find File" you search for "cookie" or "cookie.txt"; on MACS, you use the name MagicCookie to search for cookies).

 I found 221 cookies in my computer!! From this site, I leaned that a site called "Doubleclick" is notoriosly on many computers, and all the info is sent to marketing places. Sure enough, there was a cookie named "doubleclick" in my computer.

 I deleted 220 cookies. One of them won't allow me to delete it. It is named "index.dat" and that is the sole cookie left in the file. Why it won't allow me to delete it is a mystery.

 You know, I had a whole folder named "Cookies" in Drive C:/. ....with 221 cookies. Gee wiz. Holy smokes.

 As said, I have now set my computer to prompt me before accepting cookies.
