 I continue to read to children in the schools when possible. I continue  Bclad Coordination  with the Antelope Valley campus advising students, and collaboration with directors of programs in teacher education. I speak at community functions and just recently spoke to parents at a High School function (address in Spanish 04) Arvin. Collaborated with Vineland Elementary School as their keynote speaker for parent education presentation (03 Spanish), and was the keynote speaker at the HEP (High School GED program) at CSUB.

   Multiple Intelligences teaching Strategist Teacher and Parent Workshops (Spanish and English).  CSUBakersfield Professor duties include supervision of student teachers in Special Education classes, English immersion classes and dual immersion classes in the Kern County Area.  My love for children and continuing Spanish literacy has prompted me to volunteer in two elementary schools where I read and provide students with literature activities in the Spanish language.

3/00-03 Co-Director for a Grant received from the U.C. Office of the President, Dr. Harold Asturias, Oakland, Ca.  Governor’s Professional Development Institutes for Teachers of English Language Learners Grades 4-8. Summer 2003 will be the 3rd year of the grant .  Primary function is to train teachers to utilize English language development and provide Specially Designed Academic Instruction in English in collaboration with Project OLLE videos for training ($800k in project and stipends for teacher training).
