The 1999 Institute participants collectively represent a
richly diverse range of academic disciplines, activist experiences, and
regional backgrounds. We enjoyed lively discussions generated not only
in the seminars, but also in informal dinners and, particularly, in "postscript"
sessions at the Bow and Arrow Pub in Cambridge.
