I need more ideas on how to be creative in my lessons for my reading class. This site gives me some wonderful ideas that will help me be creative.
This is a great site for teachers who enjoy doing reader's theaters in the classroom. It is usefull for developing language skills and meets the ELD standard for Listening and Speaking.

Language Resources! There is tons of stuff like lesson plans, lots of links and resources. It's neat.

abcteach.com  Provides age appropriate material. It has a wide variety of materials that can be used across the curriculum. Young Learner Resources features various chants that can be used to teach vocabulary and syntax. The beginning level ELD students find chants fun because the whole class chant together and no one feels that they are on the spot. This site has a variety of chants and they give suggestions as to when to clap and other body and face movements. Chanta are a fun way to learn English.

www.esl-lounge.com
esl lounge provides 100's of lessons plans and materials. Different levels, games, colored pictures with questions. Singuture activities, lots and lots or great stuff.
foreign language internet lessons, millions of great links... "Teacher's, parents, and tutors like Teacher's Favorite Hangman because unlike other hangman style games this one helps students learn spelling AND definitions. Users are encouraged to make their own dictionary files so that their students may focus on exactly the terms which they need to know." The grammar gorillas selection is very good for developing and checking basic grammar skills. There is also the option of setting up a free account in which the web site will e-mail you the results of any activities you choose. Jennifer Dewey
