My office hours are Monday, Wednesday and Fridays; 11:00-Noon.
This lab is an introduction to the primary techniques involved
in theatrical design, scenic painting and scenic construction
and lighting. Safety procedures will be stressed. This is a hands-on
lab. You will be doing the work of creating scenery and preparing
lights for this semester's productions. Upon completion of this
course, one should understand the basic tools and materials used
for scenic construction, understand basic techniques of construction,
be familiar with the basic elements of design, and be able to
create an aesthetic representation of theatrical design techniques
on paper.
You should wear appropriate clothing. You will get dirty and
may potentially get paint and glue on your clothes You must wear
appropriate footwear, boots are preferred and open toed shoes
are not permitted under any circumstances. If you wear inappropriate
clothing you may be asked to change or leave and this would count
as on absence.
If you have a qualifying disability, you must contact the Office
of Disability Services in SA 140 (x3360) to receive the assistance
for which you are eligible.
Attendance is required and roll will be taken. Roll will be taken
within the first ten minutes of class. Tardiness of more than
ten minutes will be considered an absence and no points will
be awarded for that day.

There is a total of 100 points possible. You will be graded equally
on the following criteria (14.2% per category):

Safety
You are required to attend the strike! Failure to attend will
cause a one letter-grade penalty. (This will be Sunday, November 2, Time
6 p.m.)
