About your instructor: Curt Asher has worked as a librarian at California State University, Bakersfield since 1998. He is coordinator of Special Collections and the Interlibrary Loan Department. He is also liaison to the departments of history, modern languages, and philosophy and religious studies. Prior to taking his position at CSUB, he worked as a contractor for NASA in database development and archives management. He holds a master's degree in Library and Information Science at the University of Texas at Austin and a bachelor's degree from Western Washington University. He has taught English and business writing in Japan and English as a Second Language in Bakersfield. He worked eight years as a reporter and editor on several small newspapers and served four years on active duty in the Navy. |
