Week 3- Citing books and journal articles.

 

Today you will be developing a bibliography for your research project using books and articles you have retrieved and reviewed.

 

Cite all sources using the MLA or APA documentation style.  See the MLA Handbook for the Writers of Research Papers.

Examples:

Book with one author

Hansen, Eric C.  Disaffection and Decadence: A Crisis in French Intellectual Thought 1848-1898.  Washington,D.C.: University Press of America, 1982.

Edited book (MLA treats author or editor the same, except that you add ed. after the name.)

Charlton, D.G., ed.  France: A Companion to French Studies.  London: Methuen & Company, 1972.

Translated book

Roche, Daniel. France in the Enlightenment. Trans. Arthur Goldhammer. Cambridge, Mass.:Harvard University Press, 1998.

Article by one author

Arrange in alphabetical order by first word in the reference.
