I am 100% responsible for what I do in a relationship.  My responsibility is not contingent.

The goal of communication is understanding.  Anything I do--whether as the source or the receiver--that gets in the way of understanding is counterproductive to the communication process.

Ultimately, only relationships matter.

Some relationships are not worth the price.

Invest only in relationships that are worth the effort.

Everybody always does the very best they know how to do.

People treat us as we allow them to treat us.

Unless we can express ourselves well in ordinary language, we probably don't really know what we are talking about.
