Antelope Valley Hospital, Volunteer Services	Any, except Psychology,	Various internships are available. Requires a 6-month commitment. All volunteers will go through a screening process and a two-step TB test.
AV Care Center	Psychology	Working one-on-one with Alzheimer’s patients.
AV Committee on Aging	Any	General office work, case management program, outreach to seniors (may include some physical work) and working in food program. TB test required.
AV Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependency	Criminal Justice, Psychology, Sociology, Business, Human Resources, Communications	office help, working with new software, marking concepts, marketing campaigns, group activities, outreach programs
AV Domestic Violence Council	Psychology, Child Development, Communications, Political Science	Various office duties, can create positions for most majors and needs.
AV High School Education	Psychology, Child Development, Any	Working in after school program, state preschool, adult education, fundraising for local high schools, grant writing, and scholarship programs. Spanish a plus.
AV Mental Health Center	Masters of Social Work only	group activities, program development, case management, and assisting clients achieve life goals.
California PsychCare	Psychology, Child Development	Working with autistic and developmentally disabled individuals. Bilingual is a plus
Capri Retirement Village	Psychology	Interact with residents on a one-to-one basis.
Casa Amore	Psychology	Interns will experience a home environment care facility for elderly.
Children’s Center of Antelope Valley	Psychology, Child Development, Sociology	Students will work with client services, as group activity assistant, and with paper work. Bilingual is preferred.

Olive Crest Foster Family	Any, with emphasis on Psychology and Child Development	All students must be fingerprinted. Psych majors may work with case management; monitor home visits and training programs. Child Development may provide childcare at the facility. All majors are welcome for general office work * Can also place student in the LA area.
Palmdale City Library	English, Communications, Liberal Studies, Any	Literacy training, requires a six month commitment
Palmdale Senior Center	Psychology, Any	Various group activities working with seniors
Prestige Assisted Living	Psychology, Social Work	Help residents in daily activities Interns must pay for live-scan fingerprinting, $81
Saddle-up Therapeutic	Psychology, Education, Adaptive Physical Education.	Help with the care of the horses and facilities, as well as aide in the riding activities of clientele. No prior horse experience needed.
Sage Community Health Center	Any	Wide range from clerical support, administrative support, case management support, data logging and tracking, nursing support, special projects, and grants. Spanish speaking a plus. Good writing skills, epidemiological knowledge and nursing skills, advertising and marketing knowledge will be given preference.
Santa Clarita Community Hospital	Social Work, Recreational Therapy	Work will depend upon the department
Santa Clarita Sunset Home	Psychology, Social Work	Assist in daily activity programs with residents.
SAVES, South Antelope Valley Emergency Services	Any	Clerical work, interact with clients

U-Can: United Community Action Network	Psychology, Criminal Justice, Sociology, Communications	Interact with at risk youths and families, assist in parenting classes, youth groups, and counseling for youth and families. Develop media productions for kids.
