Coming FRIDAY, MAY 4, we celebrate our FOURTH Gender Matters. It begins at noon and runs until 6 p.m. It is free. Special guest is Andi Zeisler, BITCH magazine co-founder and editorial/creative director.
Our THIRD ANNUAL Gender Matters was May 13, 2011. Our special guest was playwright/actor Dave Barker!
Our first annual Gender Matters was May 15, 2009, and our second annual GENDER MATTERS conference took place Friday, May 21, 2010.
Some successful activities of WGS in 2007-2008 -- We hosted a visit by Zoe Nicholson, author of "The Hungry Heart: A Woman's Fast for Justice." We sent two students to the National Organization of Women conference in Los Angeles. We hosted a showing of films by Lyn Elliot and a discussion with the filmmaker.
