Once I am logged into my course, where can I get help using WebCT?
I can log in, but I do not see any courses.

General Questions
Once I am logged into my course, where can I
get help using WebCT?
Once you are logged into your course, there is help available by
clicking on the "Help" link in the menu bar that is across the top
of the page. Once you have selected the link, the "Help" topic will
relate to whichever page you are on.
You may also contact E-Learning Services at 661-654-2315. We
are open Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.
I can log in, but I do not see any courses.
When this occurs, the following are possibilities
(1) The professor has not added the students to the course.
(2) You may not be registered for the course.
(3) You registered for the course late and are not listed on
the recent student printout.
When your courses are not listed, contact the professor to see if
you have been added into the course.
How do I register my e-mail address with
WebCT?
To register your email address, visit
Create/Change Login Hint.
Old classes are listed when I log into
WebCT, how do I remove them?
You can not remove yourself from the old
WebCT courses. You will need to contact the course instructor
and ask that he/she remove you from the courses.

WebCT ID and Password
I have a RunnerMail Username, but why can't
I log into WebCT?
The reason that you cannot logon is that your name is not in the
WebCT Database, and your professor cannot add you to the course.
Contact your professor and have him/her send an e-mail to
web@csub.edu
with your name and CSUB ID number.
I have forgotten my password, how do I log
in?
If you have a WebCT ID and previously entered your e-mail address
into WebCT, your password will be sent to you by going to
Password Help.
If you have not done the above step, send an email with, your
Student ID number (located on your Runner ID card), the last 4
digits of your Social Security Number, and the year of your birth to
web@csub.edu using your RunnerMail email account. With this
information, your password will be reset to the last five (5) digits
of your CSUB ID number.
I used the 'Forgot
your password' link, but I did not receive a new password.
In order to use the 'Forgot your password' link, you must
register your email address with WebCT and create a login hint.
After creating a login hint, WebCT will replace your password with a
new one; which is then emailed to you. To register your email
address, visit
Create/Change Login Hint.

Contact E Learning Services to have your
password reset to the last five digits of your CSUB ID number.
After logging back in click on the "Password settings" button to
change your password and to register your e-mail address with the
log in hint question.

Printing
I tried printing out the course syllabus and handouts, but ended
up printing the navigation panel. How do I print the materials?

instructions are for printing from a content module, but apply to
printing any course material.

Quizzes
When I click on the 'Begin quiz' button, I am taken back to the quiz
instructions page.
If your quiz does not display, you may have a pop-up blocker
program that does not allow the quiz to display. You can disable
the program, until you finish the quiz, or add webct.csub.edu as a
trusted site. For additional assistance contact the Student

I have submitted my quiz, but I do not see any grade.
The quiz may be set up to not release the quiz results,
questions, or answers. If this information is not released, you
will have to wait until the instructor releases this information.

Email
How
do I send an email address to multiple classmates?
When in the compose mail message window, click on Browse. To
send the email to multiple classmates use the 'Shift' or 'Ctrl'
buttons and click 'Select' to return to your message.
Can
I email a student who is taking a different WebCT course?
No. You can only
email students who are in the same WebCT course.
