Create and Download Course Backups

From the myWebCT page, click 'Course functions'. Select the checkbox next to the course, then below 'Options' click 'Create backups'. When creating a backup you can do more than one at a time.

Select the course name

Enter a short description, for this course backup file, then click 'Create'.

Once the backup has been created, click 'Continue'.

It is recommend that you download course backups to your computer instead of only keeping the backups on the WebCT server.

To download the course backup, select the checkbox next to the course backup. Below 'Options', click 'Download backup'. Once the 'File Upload' or 'Choose File' box appears, click 'Save' to save the file to your computer or disk.

The course backup is a zipped file, but you cannot unzip the fie and make changes to the course. The only way to make changes is to Upload and Restore the Course Backup to a WebCT course.
