What will the workshop offer?

• Introduction to one working model.
• Demonstration of how to design a hybrid course.
• Lists of pedagogies and uses with a discussion/demonstration.
• Examples of integrating podcasts, video, and other technologies
• Help on designing or thinking through the possible benefits for you and your students of a hybrid course.

This workshop was designed to demonstrate the different pedagogical uses of the software program Turnitin. Faculty will learn how to help students identify potential problems with paraphrasing and/or citing when using outside sources.

• Address the fundamentals of service-learning and community-based work.
• Find out what elements are needed to ensure a quality service-learning program.
• Focus on how to incorporate service-learning into the three criteria of the Retention, Promotion and Tenure process: scholarship, teaching and service.
