“ THE Internet is giving Hollywood a nervous breakdown.
Way, way back in prehistory — let's say, 2004 — if you made a TV pilot and the network didn't pick it up, the judge's decision was final.
But now you have a savior, an ally, a friend with millions of other friends. You have YouTube".Contributed by: Jim, on Sunday, April 15, 2007 8:20 pm Bakersfield time

Political issues and the internet: Sun, April 15, 2007 “Americans worried about climate change gathered yesterday on ski slopes and in cities for a countrywide day of demonstrations aimed at drawing attention to global warming." How was this organized? On the internet:! This was similar to the John Dean and Moveon.org 2004 political campaigns

Another example of the effect the internet can have on political issues is the recent Don Imis "What’s Next ?" issue which was greatly effected by the You Tube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RF9BjB7Bzr0
Similarly the voting on American Idol has reportedly also been effected in this manner and Chocolate manufactures are trying the same.

Conventional chip technology has separate processors laying side by side on a silicone wafer." Moore's law continues on.Contributed by: Jim, on Sunday, April 15, 2007 8:20 pm Bakersfield time

“Voice over internet protocol” (Voip) promises a new world of telephony, cheap, sometimes free calls and a host of other new services." As has been the case with many computer applications spreadsheets (Lotus 123) operating systems (Macintosh) the game does not always go to the innovator but to the winner of the legal decision.Contributed by: Jim, on Sunday, April 08, 2007 8:10 am Hawaii time
