Suggestions for Review for Midterm:
 (1) Go over assignments this quarter, check the assignments for Windows, Word, Paint, Web Browsing. etc. Make sure you are knowledgeable and understand how to perform the functions treated in the assignments.  While doing this where possible  improve on writeups for old items in your Dictionary and add new items to your Problems and Solutions/FAQ.

(2) Check your dictionary and make sure you are knowledgeable and understand the vocabulary.  Where possible improve on the definitions and examples in your dictionary.  Your dictionary will be evaluated as part of your midterm. [3 terms will be randomly chosen and graded as to completeness, your words, unstandability to someone like yourself but not in this class].  Make sure your dictionary is checked for spelling, grammer, formatted as hanging papagraphs, alphabetical order with concepts that are defined in bold.  Bring to the exam in your homework folder that you will copy to transfer at the beginning of the midterm.

(3) Check your Problems and Solutions/FAQ.  Improve on the wording where possible.  Your Problems and Solutions/FAQ will be evaluated as part of your midterm. [3 examples will be randomly chosen and graded as to completeness, your words, unstandability to someone like yourself but not in this class.]  Make sure your Problems and Solutions/FAQ is checked for spelling, grammer, formatted as hanging papagraphs, with problems that  in bold.  Bring to the exam in your homework folder that you will copy to transfer at the beginning of the midterm.

(4) It is useful to study with your group or others in class.  It is likely that others will have insights into your difficulties and vis versa.  Don't forget your instructor is available in the CSUB main lab.  Check their web page for specifics.

(5)  The midterm will have three components 50-60 multiple choice questions, 5-10 identify and give an example vocubalary terms and 1 set of application tasks you will have to do.  The application part of the midterm will be given during the quiz time in the class following the exam.  Read the instructions for the first two sections listed below so you can maximize your time taking the multiple choice questions and the identify and give an example parts of the midterm.

You can eliminate 3 questions—leave those 3 blank.  We will not count the last 3 if you do not leave 3 questions blank

NOTE: Your grade but not the multiple choice questions will be returned.  We want you to study all content for the final not just what you missed.  You will not be able to see the MC questions with answers immediately after the midterm!

Identify and give an example [pretty much the same as your dictionary definitions but with examples where appropriate.

20 Points:
Choose any 5 terms below—Omit one question.  We will read only the first 5 you answer so clearly write OMIT  across the one you do not want graded or we autmatically omit the last question. For all, "identify and give an example," be sure that your answer is clear, complete (exhaustive) and applies only to the term being defined (mutually exclusive). Clearly write your answer and describe your example (including "How to if appropriate") as if you were explaining to a student like yourself who is not in this class.  If your definition is so general that it defines multiple concepts it is not precise enough.
