Student Union

Information Desk

The Information Desk is located in the lobby of the Student Union. Here you will find a student friendly face to help assist you with any questions you may have about the Student Union or the campus and its activities. Our student staff takes pride in making sure that you get the services that you are looking for or are guided to the appropriate staff or office. The information desk also has campus maps readily available.

A variety of table games and magazines are available for check out with a current student identification card. We are also proud to sponsor the student collegiate readership program. This program offers free newspapers to students with a current CSUB identification card. Newspapers include: The local Bakersfield Californian, USA Today, and Los Angeles Times. This program is sponsored by the Student Union Programming Board and is paid for strictly by student fees.

Lounge

The Student Union lounge is designed to provide a fun, relaxed atmosphere. There are computers for surfing the web, a ping pong and foosball table. Ping Pong paddles, balls and foosball may be checked out with a current CSUB student identification card at the information desk. A piano, couches and game tables are there for your use.

Game Room

The game room offers an air hockey game and several video games including a pinball machine. Air hockey paddles can be checked out at the information desk with a current CSUB student identification card. Video games are rotated on a yearly basis.

Wiley's Pub and Patio

Wiley's pub serves, pizza, sandwiches, soft drinks, grilled items and beer. In addition, billard tables and a big screen television are available for use. Safe 1 Credit Union

Safe 1 Credit Union provides full-service banking for CSUB staff, faculty, administrators and students. An outside ATM machine is located in front of the Student Union. For more information on this convienent service please contact them at (661) 654-6175.

Associated Students, Inc.

Associated Students, Inc. provides an official voice through which students' rights and interestes are protected. Working to provide more than just student government, various cultural and social activities are supported by ASi. For more information please contact the ASi office at (661) 654-2418.

Office of Student Activities

The office of Student Activities assists students, faculty and staff in the development of social, cultural, educational, and recreational activities for the university. These co-curricular activities are planned to enhance instructional offerings and to provide growth opportunities for students. Student Activities is also responsible for the clubs, organizations, fraternities and sororities on campus.

The Student Resource Center is located within the Student Activities area. It provides students with resource materials and equipment for the publicity and promotion of meetings and activities at minimal or no cost. Runner Bookstore
