Information Desk

The Information Desk is located in the lobby of the Student Union. Here you will find a student friendly face to help assist you with any questions you may have about the Student Union or the campus and its activities. Our student staff takes pride in making sure that you get the services that you are looking for or are guided to the appropriate staff or office. The information desk also has campus maps readily available.

A variety of table games and magazines are available for check out with a current student identification card. We are also proud to sponsor the student collegiate readership program. This program offers free newspapers to students with a current CSUB identification card. Newspapers include: The local Bakersfield Californian, Los Angeles Times and one copy of the Wall Street Journal. This program is sponsored by the Student Union Programming Board and is paid for strictly by student fees.

The Roost

The Roost is where you can buy delicious finger foods and drinks, watch tv, play foosball or billards, listen to music with the jukebox, or simply enjoy the company of friends.

Office of Student Involvement & Leadership

The office of Student Involvement & Leadership (formerly Student Activities) assists students, faculty and staff in the development of social, cultural, educational, and recreational activities for the university. These co-curricular activities are planned to enhance instructional offerings and to provide growth opportunities for students. Student Involvement & Leadership is also responsible for the clubs, organizations, fraternities and sororities on campus.

The Student Resource Center is located within the Student Involvement & Leadership area. It provides students with resource materials and equipment for the publicity and promotion of meetings and activities at minimal or no cost.
