Welcome from the Director

The CSUB Student Union is designed to serve as the social center for student life on campus. It strives to support the campus community and provide a comfortable atmosphere for students to meet, organize, and attend a variety of events. The building is a contemporary, dynamic facility unique in structure and appearance on campus. The Student Union offices, organizations, facilities and services are intended to support and enhance a successful university experience for the students as well as the CSUB community and guests of the University.

Mission

The Student Union Inc. upholds CSU Bakersfield and the Division of Student Affairs mission statements by maintaining a facility designed to enhance the quality of the student experience. This is accomplished by providing inviting facilities, student leadership opportunities, customer-oriented information services, and diverse social and co-curricular programs that encourage personal connections with students and the campus community.

Vision

By the academic year 2014-2015, the Student Union Inc. will be viewed as a leading campus auxiliary contributing to a vibrant campus life by encouraging campus unity, emphasizing outstanding customer service, maintaining a modern and up to date facility that meets the needs of our students and further defines CSU Bakersfield as a university of choice.
