Browser1: Hints on settings for your browser

Tables in some of the modules and exercises will not look right unless your browser is properly set. If the following table looks fine, with columns and decimal points lined up correctly, you don't need to do anything else.

If you are using Netscape 4.0 or Internet Explorer 4.0, try the following:

• For Netscape, go to the Edit menu, then click on Preferences:

• When the Preference dialog box opens up, click on Appearance (if it is not already open) then Fonts:

• In the Fonts dialog box, make sure that your Fixed Width font is size 10 and choose "Use my default fonts..."

• For Internet Explorer, go to the View menu, then click on Internet Options (you have to be in on-line mode)

• Then click on "Fonts" in the bottom left of the dialog box:

• At the Fonts menu, make sure the fixed-width font is Courier New:
