Dr. Choi received his MSW from West Virginia University in 1991, and returned to his country, Korea, for practice. He worked in the Korea Welfare Foundation as supervisor, program director, and administrator from 1991 to 2000. He earned a doctoral degree from the University of South Carolina in 2003, and joined CSUB. His research has been focused on child abuse and neglect and acculturation experiences in cross-cultural studies.
