Kelly Bearden is the Director of the CSU Bakersfield Small Business Development Center (SBDC) The SBDC is part of a network of centers providing practical one on one business consulting and training to small business owners or prospective ones. Prior he was a Principal in Impact Consulting and Training, an economic development consulting firm that offers solutions to small businesses and the communities they represent. Concentrating on consulting and training in small business capital acquisition and community agricultural based economic development studies. Prior to that Mr. Bearden has spent fifteen years employed by an economic development corporation, the last twelve as the director of the Valley Sierra SBDC. Over the past twenty-five years, Mr. Bearden has worked directly or indirectly with thousands of small business owners.  He also farms wine grapes in the Sierra Nevada foothill region of California. He is a graduate of California State University Chico.

Claudia Belda is currently attending CSU Bakersfield, pursuing her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing.

Claudia has been with the CSUB Small Business Development Center since the beginning of this year. One of her biggest areas of expertise is social media marketing. She manages the social media platforms for the SBDC and creates content to be used for events, seminars, webinars, and workshops. Claudia has also begun working with other consultants to cater to our small business clients and provide them one-on-one marketing consulting services.

Ali Morris is the Co-Founder of the Kern County Black Chamber of Commerce and Founder of the KCBCC Development Foundation where he served as President of both until 2013. Ali Morris was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA., where he attended Point Park University in Downtown Pittsburgh. Mr. Morris has a BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, and a Minor in Business Administration. He spent approx. thirty years in industry working in Project Engineering and Project Management positions. Mr. Morris also has over 25 years of service in the non-profit arena, serving on several Boards and in many Officer Positions.
