Sophomore middle blocker Alysia Baker was named NCAA Division I Independent Player of the Week by hitting .600 in two matches during the weekend. She is the third ’Runner to receive the honor this season.

or Forward Robbie Gouk was named Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Player of the Week after a two-goal, one-assist performance against the University of Denver on Nov. 1.

 

Women’s volleyball defeats Seattle U

Women’s volleyball took on Seattle University.



The CSUB volleyball team took one more step toward its season goal by defeating Seattle University in straight sets, 14-25, 22-25, 13-25, Nov. 1 at the Icardo Center.

Gouk leads ’Runners to victory
against University of Denver

On a day that was devoted to recognizing the four seniors on the 2009 CSUB men’s soccer team, who were competing in their last home game, it was a junior who took the spotlight and led the Roadrunners to a victory.

’Runners end season with a loss and many lessons to learn

Despite losing to the University of San Francisco on the last game of the season, 1-0, the CSUB women’s soccer team remained optimistic going into the offseason and eventually starting their first year as a full-fledged Division I program.
