REVS UP Program Description
The School of Natural Sciences, Mathematics, and Engineering at California State University Bakersfield offers a program in science and mathematics funded by Chevron Corp. This program is now in its seventh year and is designed to rejuvenate K-12 science teachers as well as intends to increase interest of high school students in careers in sciences & mathematics by offering hands-on research experiences for teacher-student teams in biology, chemistry, computer science, geology, and physics.
High School students are eligible to receive a $700 stipend and Teachers receive $3,000 at the conclusion of the program.
Application deadline was March 3rd. No more applications are being accepted at this time. All applicants will be notified by mail by the second week of April.
