Using KaZaA, while abiding to the ResNet Acceptable Use Policy
As you may already know, according to the ResNet Acceptable Use Policy it is prohibited to use your computer as a server of any type. This includes peer-to-peer (P2P) hosting such as KaZaA, Gnutella, and Morpheus. To avoid violation of the Acceptable Use Policy, it is important to turn off the “sharing” feature of these applications. Failure to do so will result in your ResNet connection being turned off.
For your convenience, the following instructions have been provided to assist you in turning off the “sharing” feature of KaZaA.
Step 1: Open KaZaA and click on the Tools menu.
Step 2: Choose the Options command.
Step 3: Click on “Disable sharing of files with other KaZaA users.” Click OK.

In version 2.x, it is also recommended for your protection that you enable scanning of viruses by unchecking the second box. |
Step 4: Verify that you are not sharing any files by checking the status bar at the bottom of your screen.
