Provost Zorn is respected in her discipline for her work on gender diversity issues and currently serves on the Association of American Geographers (AAG) Committee on Diversity and the Committee for the Healthy Departments Initiative.  She has served in various leadership positions including President of the California Geographical Society, President of the Association of Pacific Coast Geographers, Secretary of the AAG, and President of the California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) chapters of Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Beta Delta.  At CSUSB, she was a leader in areas of diversity such as conceptualizing and implementing a Women Who Lead program, developing a premier program of student participation in the HACU conference, and substantially increasing international programs.  She has been a champion for veterans’ initiatives and the Accessible Technology Initiative for students with disabilities. She received the Distinguished Teaching Award from the National Council on Geographic Education and other outstanding teaching and service awards.  Active in her community, she has served in numerous leadership roles in philanthropic organizations including President of the National Charity League and President of the Redlands East Valley Aquatics Board and currently serves on the Kern County Literacy Council.

Prior to coming to CSUB, Provost Zorn served as an Interim Provost at Humboldt State University and Associate Provost for Academic and International Programs at CSUSB.  She earned a B.A. degree from Flagler College and M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Geography from The Ohio State University.  Her research has focused on women in the labor force, geographic education, and international education.
