The Houghton Mifflin Pre-K curriculum purchased for the project provides ten themes with day-by-day explicit information on how to present the materials to preschool children. Big Books, oral language cards, AlphaFriends, rhymes and chants are just some of the features of this program. The PLP coaches and teachers all had training by Houghton Mifflin experts in how to best utilize this curriculum during the summer prior to implementation of the project. Ongoing professional development will be a part of the project.
