Areas: epistemology, philosophy of mind, history of analytic philosophy, inductive logic and confirmation theory, and early modern philosophy, particularly David Hume.

Bio: Steven Gamboa is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at California State University, Bakersfield. His research is focused on the intersection between thought, language, reason, and action (individual and collective). His most recent works include “Neo-empiricism and Intentionality” (Philosophy Study, 2011), “Practical Consequences Deduced from Speculative Principles? The Political Implications of Hume’s Philosophy”, and “The Liberation Philosophy of Ignacio Ellacuría”. He also serves as an organizer for Basque Studies at CSUB.
