Bio: Liora Gubkin conducts research on memory and representation of the Holocaust and on gender in Judaism. Her most recent publications include You Shall Tell Your Children: Holocaust Memory in American Passover Ritual (Rutgers University Press) and "I will espouse you with righteousness and justice: domestic violence and Judaism" in Violence against Women in Contemporary World Religion: roots and cures (Pilgrim Press). Prof. Gubkin’s interest in religious studies began with the course "Major World Religions" her first semester of college, and she hopes to inspire a similar enthusiasm in her students through the wide range of courses she teaches.
