Bio: Debra Jackson is Associate Professor of Philosophy. Her research focuses on legal, political, and epistemological issues regarding gender and race, especially with regard to sexual violence against women.  She has published "Utopian Fantasy and the Politics of Difference" in World of Warcraft and Philosophy: Wrath of the Philosopher King (Open Court, 2009), co-edited a special issue of the APA Newsletters on Feminism and Philosophy on Feminist Critical Theory (2005), and has co-authored Critical Thinking: A User’s Manual (Cengage, 2011) with Paul Newberry. Most recently, she has an essay in a collection on New Approaches to Trauma Studies, which is under review with New York University Press.
