September 30, 2013 - The Music Department at California State University, Bakersfield is pleased to launch the fourth season of the Guitar Arts Concert Series with classical guitarist, pedagogue and educator Dr. Isaac Bustos. Bustos will present a dynamic program of music by Albéniz, Piazzolla, Scarlatti, Rodrigo, Giuliani and more. The concert takes place on Friday, October 18 at 7:30 PM in the CSUB Music Building, room 127.
Bustos enjoys an extensive performing career that has taken him to Canada, Central America, Europe, and all over the US. He has made several radio and television appearances and is in demand as a master class teacher around the country. Bustos is often invited to perform at some of the most prestigious festivals in the US and around the world. His resumé includes seven first prizes at over 12 major international competitions. We are pleased to host this young lion of the instrument.
The CSUB Guitar Arts Series is sponsored by the Bakersfield Marriott at the Convention Center and KGET TV-17. Tickets are $15 for general admission, $10 for seniors (60+) and $5 for any student with a student ID.
