The minimum configurations needed for both the MAC and PC that will meet all the demands of an online course.

VIRUSES: You may be exchanging files with other students and faculty. As such you must have a virus protection program installed on your machine. Every effort should be made to upload and install the latest virus definitions as they become available.
The Student Technology Help Site: Some CSUB courses require "plug-ins" to make your browser function correctly. These downloads are free and are available through the Student Technolgy Help Site. The links below have other downloads that may be helpful.
WebCt: CSUB also uses course managment software. WebCt is supported by the following browsers:
- Netscape versions 4.5x to 4.77 (version 6.x is NOT supported)
- Internet Explorer versions 5.0 to 5.5 SP2 (version 6.0 is NOT supported)
- AOL Users: The AOL versions of Netscape and IE are NOT compatible with WebCt. You may use AOL as your ISP, however, you must download the browser versions as noted at the Student Technology Help Site.
