About the Workshops

You are responsible for completing nine hours of a writing workshop in conjunction with your English 80 class.  This requirement is 5% of your grade in the course, and your grade will be determined by a diagnostic post test on the last day of the workshop.  You must attend these workshops one hour a week outside of your English class, starting the second week of classes. The time for your workshop is listed on your schedule with your English 80 class, and you will meet outside the OASIS Tutoring Center for your first session.

When you attend the workshop, you should (1) sign in, (2) have your contract signed, (3) bring your textbook, (4) bring your 80 workshop packet, and (5) bring your writing portfolio.

Please note that the Writing Workshop is run separately from your English class, which means you should attend the lab even if your English class is cancelled.
