Upon completion of the prenursing curriculum, students may apply for admission to the nursing program. The nursing program at CSUB is impacted, therefore a supplemental application is required in order to be considered for acceptance into the program.

The nursing program is a 9-quarter program (3 academic years) in which students have summers off. Over the 3-year period, the nursing curriculum provides the student with classroom and clinical instruction in basic nursing skills, medical surgical nursing, critical care, mental health, pediatrics, obstetrics/gynecology, community health, research, and leadership & management. Upon successful completion of the program, the student will have a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing degree and is eligible to apply for permission from the Board of Registered Nursing to sit for the NCLEX (RN licensure exam)
