Pre-Licensure BSN Program
CSUB Department of Nursing offers a traditional nursing program that runs 3 years/6 semesters with summers off. In addition, CSUB Nursing accepts new students once a year in the fall semester.
The Traditional BSN program at CSUB is impacted. There are generally more applications received each year than the number of seats that can be accomodated. Due to impacted status, it is strongly recommended that prospective applicants view the admission requirements and policies in the Pre-Nursing Handbook. Non-CSUB students are encouraged to attend an monthly Information Session, or watch the Information Video.
The next application period will be for fall 2017 entry. Details is found in the Application Materials section of the website.
Non-CSUB students planning to apply to CSUB Nursing for Fall 2017 must apply to the CSU Bakersfield prior to applying to the nursing program. Apply to CSUB at www.csumentor.edu. Applicants who already have a bachelors degree must complete the graduate application on CSU Mentor to pursue a 2nd degree in nursing. The priority application period will begin in October 2016.
Non-CSUB Students are welcome to attend one of our in-person Information Sessions on campus. Click on Information Session for a schedule of dates.
This video information session is available as an alternative to attending an in-person meeting.
