How frequently does CSUB start a new nursing class?
The Department of Nursing offers a program for a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing and admits students, based on available resources, twice a year in the Fall Quarter and Spring Quarter.

Can I apply to the nursing program with prerequisites still in progress?
Yes. However, you must have completed all but the Pathophysiology prerequisites by June 15, 2010. Pathophysiology and all but 3 general education requirements for a bachelor’s degree must be completed by mid to late July, 2010.

How many students are accepted to the program, and what were the GPAs of teh students who were accepted last year?
On average the Department of Nursing receives between 200 and 250 applications each year for the 35 - 40 seats available twice a year. Of the applicants who were accepted to the program for fall 2009 entry, the lowest GPA was 3.25 and the average GPA was 3.50.

When is the nursing application due?
Applications will be taken from October 20th through December 30th, 2009.

Is the TEAS required by the CSUB Department of Nursing
CSUB Department of Nursing does require applicants to the nursing program to have their TEAS results to CSUB Department of Nursing by May 29, 2010. Students applying to Fall 2010 must have a TEAS score of at least 70 percent.

How much does it cost to attend the nursing program?
In addition to University tuition and fees, there are additional fees for nursing students. Nursing students will have additional expenses for transportation (an automobile is always needed for clinical practicum courses), parking, health insurance, health clearance, professional liability insurance, uniforms, equipment, and ATI testing. What if I have taken course from a foreign university?
Applicants with courses from a foreign university must have the courses enlisted by an international evaluation service. A few of these organizations are listed below:
