Notice to International Students

Impacted status may be granted to academic degree programs where the number of applicants to the program exceeds the number of qualified applicants that can be accepted. Applicants to impacted programs are subject to criteria in addition to those required for admission to the University.

Nursing is an impacted major. CSU impacted majors, or those majors with limited openings, can elect to restrict admission to nonresident applicants including international students. CSUB nursing faculty has determined that admission to the traditional/generic Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) will require U.S. resident status. Applicants with the following status, at the time of application to the nursing program, will not be considered for entry into the fall 2008 class.

• F Visa (student)
• J Visa (exchange visitor)
• Other visa
• Undetermined status, or no visa
