How will the TEAS be used as admission criterion?

Effective fall 2017 application period and beyond, CSUB Nursing requires the latest edition, ATI TEAS (available after August 31st).   No other versions of TEAS will be accepted.  Students applying to CSUB’s traditional nursing program must have TEAS adjusted individual total score of 70 % or better.  However,  higher test scores will be rewarded with more points in the primary criteria.  To see how points will be assigned for the TEAS, see the Entry Criteria and Scoring Sheet that can be found under the Application Materials heading.

Can I take the TEAS more than once?

The Department of Nursing will only allow the first 3 attempts on the ATI TEAS.  For repeated attempts, a 40 day grace period (from test date to test date) is required .  The highest score will be used.

How do I register and pay for the TEAS?

To register for the TEAS Test, please click on this link.

Once your form is filled out, you may mail or walk in your registration form to the Department of Nursing with a $25.00 cashier's check, money order, or cash.

How long will it take for me to get my TEAS scores?

Students testing at CSUB will receive their scores immediately after the examination.

How Do I submit my scores?

If the TEAS was taken at CSUB, it is automatic that the Department of Nursing will receive the results.  For those who did not test at CSUB, official scores must be received directly from ATI.  Scores submitted by the applicant will be advised to send the scores through ATI.  To request your scores to be sent, please visit www.atitesting.com
