Our four baby great horned owlets have grown up. Three of them have left their nesting area in the balcony off the third floor of Science Building II and are well as far as we know. Another one tried to fly but only made it to the ground (no injury). Marlene Benton of FACT picked it up from the area between Dorothy Donahoe Hall and the Science Building. Since this owlet is not fully grown and therefore not ready to fly, it has been taken to the Facility for Animal Care and Treatment (FACT) until it is ready. As you may know, FACT organizes a monthly Open House; the next one is scheduled for Saturday, May 6. So please come out and meet our owlet.

Soon our owl cam will become our building cam. It will be pointed at the area where we are building our new Math & Computer Science building so we can all watch the progress as it goes up.

We promise tho that there will be an owl cam back up next year when Momma Owl nests on our balcony again!
