CSUB’s School of NSME to Host Senior Design Expo and Mixer with Society of Women Engineers Student Chapter

California State University, Bakersfield’s School of Natural Sciences, Mathematics, and Engineering (NSME) and the Society of Women Engineers CSUB Student Chapter will hold a Senior Design Expo and Mixer from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, in the Solario de Fortaleza, inside the Student Recreation Center.

“The Society of Women Engineers is excited to host various companies at this event,” said SWE student representative Laura Alvarez. “It is a unique way to showcase what our students are learning at CSUB, and it provides students valuable networking opportunities.”

The afternoon will allow students to network with local businesses and find out more about possible careers they are interested in. Confirmed businesses who will be available to speak with are: USDA – Natural Resources Conservation Service, Soils Engineering, Inc., Seneca Resources Corporation, Grimmway Farms, KIT / Start with Bakersfield; IES Engineering, DeWalt Corporation, US Department of Agriculture, OnStack Software, BSK Associates, Lockheed Martin, Summit ESP a Halliburton Service, Chevron, and Nestle PTC.
