CSUB Partners with Give Big Kern so locals can Give Where You Live

California State University, Bakersfield is proud to participate in Give Big Kern, a unique and special day for philanthropy across Kern County on May 3, 2016. CSUB alumni and community members will be invited to contribute through Give Big Kern to support the following initiatives: Roadrunner Scholarship Fund, Merit Scholarships; Study Abroad Program; CSUB Fund – Alumni Association and CSUB Associated Students Incorporated (ASI).

To launch this initiative, CSUB University Advancement is partnering with Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan (M.E.Ch.A), a student club that celebrates Chicano culture. On Tuesday, May 3, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the Runner Quad, the club will host a cultural event, with activities including a Spanish folkloric performance from Mexica Tiahui, a bounce house obstacle course, and will offer Mexican fruit and candies. The festivities are open to students, faculty, staff and the local community.

Individuals who contribute to CSUB through Give Big Kern before 1:45 p.m. on May 3 will be entered into a drawing to win a $50 gift card.
